The musculoskeletal system forms the foundation of human structure, mobility, and function, and is one of the most commonly evaluated systems in diagnostic imaging. A thorough understanding of the anatomy, pathology, and radiologic appearance of musculoskeletal structures is essential for imaging professionals in both routine and advanced clinical practice.
This self-paced course is designed to provide a comprehensive review of the skeletal system, joint structure, the central nervous system's role in musculoskeletal function, and the imaging of both common and complex musculoskeletal conditions. Throughout this course, learners will progress from foundational knowledge of bone biology and anatomy to specialized imaging of traumatic injuries, degenerative diseases, inflammatory conditions, and pediatric musculoskeletal disorders.
The course is organized into 10 structured chapters, each containing clear learning objectives, detailed content, and relevant radiologic examples. Normal and abnormal imaging comparisons are integrated to strengthen pattern recognition skills and promote critical thinking.
