What Will You Learn ?

This self-paced course provides a comprehensive overview of musculoskeletal anatomy, physiology, and pathology as seen through medical imaging. You’ll build a strong foundation in bone biology, joint structure, and CNS function while advancing your skills in interpreting both common and complex musculoskeletal conditions.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify normal and abnormal musculoskeletal imaging across X-ray, CT, and MRI
  • Recognize trauma, degenerative, inflammatory, and pediatric disorders
  • Understand imaging characteristics of rheumatologic, metabolic, and post-operative conditions
  • Analyze musculoskeletal tumors and CNS-related injuries
  • Strengthen pattern recognition and clinical decision-making skills
  • Communicate imaging findings with improved clarity and confidence

This course has been reviewed and approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for Continuing Qualifications Requirements (CQR) and provides qualified credit distribution across nine ARRT-recognized disciplines, including:

  • MRI – 23 CE credits
  • CT – 21 CE credits
  • Radiography – 16.75 CE credits
  • Sonography – 17.5 CE credits
  • Radiation Therapy – 12 CE credits
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology – 11 CE credits
  • Proton Therapy – 11 CE credits
  • Bone Densitometry – 4.5 CE credits
  • Radiologist Assistant – 24 CE credits

These credits may be used to fulfill individual CQR prescriptions issued by ARRT and also count toward the standard 24-credit biennial CE requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is CQR?

CQR stands for Continuing Qualifications Requirements, a program developed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) to ensure that technologists maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge in their certified disciplines. It supports lifelong learning and promotes safe, effective patient care as standards and technologies evolve.

Who is required to complete CQR?

CQR applies to technologists who:

Hold an ARRT post-primary credential (such as CT, MRI, Sonography, etc.)

Earned that credential on or after January 1, 2011

If this applies to you, ARRT will notify you when your 10-year CQR cycle begins. You’ll receive a personalized “CQR prescription” that outlines how many CE credits you must complete in specific categories such as Patient Care, Image Production, or Procedures.

Are your courses approved for ARRT© continuing education credit?

Yes. All of our courses are approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and provide Category A CE credits that are fully accepted by the ARRT© for CE compliance.

How do I access the course after I enroll?

After enrollment, you’ll receive immediate access through your course account. Simply log in to your dashboard at any time to begin learning at your own pace.

When will I receive my certificate of completion?

Your certificate is generated instantly upon passing the final exam. If you encounter any issues, email us at [email protected], and we’ll issue it manually.

How long do I have access to the course?

You receive lifetime access to the course materials. You can return to review the content at any time — even after completing the CE requirements.

What happens if I don’t pass the final exam on the first try?

No problem! You have three attempts to pass the final exam. If you're unable to pass after the third attempt, you'll need to re-enroll in the course as per ASRT policy.

Who created these courses?

All courses are developed by Michael Ramos, a registered radiologic technologist with over 15 years of clinical experience. He holds an MBA in Healthcare Management and serves on the Radiation Safety, Informatics, and Management Committees at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery.
