Frequently Asked Questions
What is CQR?
CQR stands for Continuing Qualifications Requirements, a program developed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) to ensure that technologists maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge in their certified disciplines. It supports lifelong learning and promotes safe, effective patient care as standards and technologies evolve.
Who is required to complete CQR?
CQR applies to technologists who:
- Hold an ARRT post-primary credential (such as CT, MRI, Sonography, etc.)
- Earned that credential on or after January 1, 2011
If this applies to you, ARRT will notify you when your 10-year CQR cycle begins. You’ll receive a personalized “CQR prescription” that outlines how many CE credits you must complete in specific categories such as Patient Care, Image Production, or Procedures.
How does CQR differ from regular CE requirements?
All ARRT-certified technologists must complete 24 Category A CE credits every two years to maintain active status — this is known as the biennial CE requirement.
CQR is a separate requirement and occurs once every 10 years. It includes:
- A Structured Self-Assessment (SSA)
- A personalized prescription of CE credits
- A 3-year window to complete the prescribed credits in specific content areas
Why is CQR important?
CQR ensures that technologists:
- Stay current with evolving clinical standards and technologies
- Remain competent in their certified specialty areas
- Maintain their ARRT credentials in good standing
Our courses, including this one, are ARRT-reviewed and CQR-qualified, offering direct credit distribution that aligns with ARRT’s content specifications — helping simplify the CQR process.
Does this course fulfill CQR requirements?
Yes. This course has been officially reviewed by ARRT and provides approved CQR credit distribution across nine disciplines, including:
- MRI, CT, Radiography, Sonography,
- Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Bone Densitometry,
- Proton Therapy, and Radiologist Assistant
It is fully eligible for use toward an ARRT-issued CQR prescription and also satisfies the standard 24 Category A CE credits required for biennial recertification.
Are your courses approved for ARRT© continuing education credit?
Yes. All of our courses are approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and provide Category A CE credits that are fully accepted by the ARRT© for CE compliance.
How do I access the course after I enroll?
After enrollment, you’ll receive immediate access through your course account. Simply log in to your dashboard at any time to begin learning at your own pace.
When will I receive my certificate of completion?
Your certificate is generated instantly upon passing the final exam. If you encounter any issues, email us at [email protected], and we’ll issue it manually.
How long do I have access to the course?
You receive lifetime access to the course materials. You can return to review the content at any time — even after completing the CE requirements.
What happens if I don’t pass the final exam on the first try?
No problem! You have three attempts to pass the final exam. If you're unable to pass after the third attempt, you'll need to re-enroll in the course as per ASRT policy.
Who created these courses?
All courses are developed by Michael Ramos, a registered radiologic technologist with over 15 years of clinical experience. He holds an MBA in Healthcare Management and serves on the Radiation Safety, Informatics, and Management Committees at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery.
Additional Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What is the difference between Category A and A+ credits?
A: Category A+ credits are specifically required for Radiologist Assistants (RAs). These professionals must complete continuing education activities approved for A+ credit.
If you are a radiologic technologist (R.T.), you may complete either Category A or A+ credits to meet your biennial CE requirements.
Q: Do you report my credits to the ARRT®?
A: No, we do not report your credits directly to the ARRT® certification and registration system. At the end of your biennium, the ARRT® will notify you when it’s time to renew. You’ll log in to your ARRT® account, manually list the CE activities you’ve completed, and submit your renewal.
If selected for audit, you’ll be asked to provide documentation of your CE activities. This is where your Certificate of Completion from RadSeek Education comes in. Please store your certificate safely for future reference.

- Visa
- MasterCard
- American Express
- Discover
- Apple Pay
